The Holdovers (15)

On Wednesday the 5th June we will be showing The Holdovers (15).

(Apologies, we have had to change the date from the 29th May due to the school realising that it was half term and that they could therefore not support us).

Set in the 1970s this good-natured comedy drama has an unpopular teacher (the always excellent Paul Giamatti) a rebellious student, and school cook (Randolph) form an unexpected odd-couple bond while stuck together over the Christmas break.  With funny, rueful dialogue and a great cast it was nominate for 5 Oscars and Da’Vine Joy Randolph won the best supporting actress BAFT. The director, Alexander Payne, directed Giamatti in one of our favourite films, Sideways, so we are really looking forward to seeing this one!
